December 2016 – January 2017: The Country Wife

In late 2016 and early 2017, Martin directed Wycherley’s great restoration comedy, The Country Wife for BADA (British American Drama Academy) in Regents Park.

Wycherley’s outrageously sexy comedy was performed in the round at the Oval House in a production which recreated a 16th Century playhouse, lit by candlelight.

Audience participation was encouraged and our hero was cheered, wolf whistled and booed at the appropriate moments!
